Dunkin Donuts Coffee Thins

Coffee and chocolate… two of my favorite things! Dunkin Donuts are know for their coffee and of course, donuts! How well do they par for candy though? Dunkin Donuts Coffee thins has two flavors in the package. Original coffee and caramel.

Packaging: This bag was enormous! I’m not sure if there are smaller bags available, as this was the only one I’ve seen so far. Weighing in at a little over 1 pound, with approximately 48 chocolates. The bag itself was eye catching and with the logo, you knew exactly who the company was.

Price: $11.99

Scent: Just like roasted coffee beans

Texture: They weren’t playing around when they said thin. These are thinner than Hershey Bar and roughly thinner than Lindt chocolate bars too. Fun size little squares. Because they were so thin, these were hard to actually bite through. They are melt in your mouth but the initial bite need to be a bit forceful.

Taste: The original coffee flavored tasted more on the coffee side thank milk chocolate. I actually enjoyed that because I feel that coffee flavored chocolates are usually more muted on the coffee note. I appreciated this. Not a bitter coffee, just a rich and creamy roasted coffee flavor. The caramel flavor tasted just like a caramel macchiato! I was expecting caramel on the inside and was surprised that there wasn’t any. This is just a pure caramel/ coffee flavored chocolate. One thing I did notice, there were small, “crystals” inside. It’s not visible to the eye, but you can definitely feel them in some bites. It’s almost like a tiny sugar crystal. These were apparent in both the original and caramel thins.

Rating: I rate this 3 out of 5 stars. Although the coffee flavor was great, the hardness of the thins made it uncomfortable to take bites. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
